I have an amazing friend named Val. She is a photographer from Boise, Idaho, and I am a huge fan of her work. She is constantly improving and stretching herself with each project. Not only do I love the pictures that she takes, but I love her as a person. She has one of the sweetest, most genuine, calm spirits of anyone I have ever met, as well as an amazing ability to put me at ease in front of a camera. So when she said that she wanted to take some pictures of me playing my banjo, I jumped at the opportunity.
